Terms of Use

Vegans.Social · Last updated September 27, 2026

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Vegans.Social. By accessing or using our website, newsletter, or any associated services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vegans.Social website, newsletter, and all associated content, features, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Vegans.Social ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 if you are located in the EU), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically copy our content without written permission
  • Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Reproduce, distribute, or republish our editorial content for commercial purposes without a license
  • Impersonate Vegans.Social, our editors, or any other person or entity
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form or submission
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms, without notice and at our sole discretion.

3. Our Content

All editorial content published on Vegans.Social — including articles, guides, photographs, graphics, and other materials — is the intellectual property of Vegans.Social or its contributors, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

You may share individual articles via social media, email, or personal communication provided you: (a) include a clear attribution to Vegans.Social; (b) link back to the original article; and (c) do not alter, excerpt, or misrepresent the content.

Republication, syndication, or reproduction of our content in whole or in substantial part — in any medium, commercial or otherwise — requires prior written permission. To request a license, contact legal@vegans.social.

4. Your Submissions

When you submit a story idea, business listing, letter, or other content to Vegans.Social, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, edit, and distribute that submission in connection with our editorial operations.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit any content you provide, that it does not infringe any third-party rights, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We reserve the right to decline, remove, or modify any submission at our editorial discretion.

Submitting a story idea or tip does not create a contract, employment relationship, or obligation to publish. We do not compensate unsolicited story submissions unless a separate written agreement is in place.

5. Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that are inactive for an extended period, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.

6. Disclaimers

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Vegans.Social publishes editorial content for informational and cultural purposes. Nothing on this site constitutes medical, nutritional, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions related to your health, diet, or legal matters.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vegans.Social and its officers, employees, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Affiliate & Sponsored Content

Vegans.Social may participate in affiliate programs. This means that some links to products or services on our site may earn us a commission if you click through and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations.

Sponsored content — articles, guides, or placements that are paid for by a brand or company — is clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership." We do not publish sponsored content that contradicts our editorial values or that we believe would mislead our readers.

We do not accept payment to alter the editorial coverage of a brand or individual in our non-sponsored content.

9. Copyright — DMCA Notice

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on Vegans.Social infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to legal@vegans.social that includes:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing content
  • Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
  • A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We will review valid DMCA notices and remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content in accordance with applicable law.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings conducted in English.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. You agree that any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a class action or representative proceeding.

If you are located in the EU, you may also have the right to pursue claims before your local courts and consumer protection authorities.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via email (to subscribers) or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please discontinue your use of the Service and, if applicable, close your account.
